Broken Social Scene & Buck 65 Improv
I came across this blissful track in a studio podcast from CBC. Buck 65’s freestyle is so witty and the arrangement from BSS is gorgeous.

From Pitchfork:
“Sound of Siren”, a new track from dancehall wildman Busy Signal, features what sounds like a heavily Auto-tuned M.I.A. singing the hook while sound effects erupt all around her. The track appears on the new Busy Signal mixtape Hottt Ed Turf!!!.
We haven’t confirmed that it is, in fact, M.I.A., but it sure sounds like her!
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the dude definitely namechecks her at least three times in this song. Her name is like the third word out of his mouth. Maybe Pitchfork should actually listen to the songs they post.
All Pitchfork hating aside though, it’s a pretty fun song.

this is the first in a set of four little fingerstyle solos named after snow.
“aput” is the title of this song. it means “snow on the ground” in eskimo.
