Thanks!  Any idea if there’s a workaround for the rendering problem?  It looks very strange….

using the betterlight mod should fix this problem, and also make everything pretty. i’m sure notch will fix lighting eventually, but i’d be willing to bet it’s not as high on his priority list due to this awesome mod.

    shadow glitch. If you place a block in the top...it everything will go back to normal. ;)...

    Editing the blocks in any way (like placing a torch) will fix it, then you can remove the object and it should stay that...

    Shadow rendering issue. You will never find Obsidian like THIS.
